Can you believe it? March 7, 2023 opens the second half of Great Books 77. Tempus fugit indeed!
We will discuss Betty Smith’s novel A Tree Grows in Brooklyn on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the South Euclid – Lyndhurst Library (CCPL).
This is the novel’s debut, so of course we must ask ourselves, “Is this a Great Book?” Additionally, I am interested in the coming of age aspect of the book, particularly in light of the fact that our GB list has no such book with a girl as the subject. So much to think about; so much to discuss.
