This Tuesday, October 17, 7:00 p.m. will be our first ever discussion of works of Edgar Allan Poe. The short stories are The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Purloined Letter — two very different stories with the same pair of protagonists. We can trace some of the roots of the murder mystery genre directly to the short stories of Poe.
The two stories are quick reading, so get busy reading this weekend. I enjoyed the experience of listening to both stories via an audiobook, and I highly recommend it. Do whatever works for you and get reading!
